Arthur Girardin Obituary

Arthur "Pete" William Girardin, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, at the age of 82. Pete was born on March 12, 1943 and spent his formative years in Connecticut. As a young man, he passionately built race cars, a hobby that fueled his adventurous spirit and brought him immense joy. This love for racing never faded, and he remained an avid fan. Pete was a skilled plumber and spent the early part of his career working for Gibralter Construction, traveling extensively throughout the US before he eventually settled in Greensboro, North Carolina. There, he transitioned into a fulfilling career with Brown Investment Properties as a Maintenance Supervisor, where he worked for more than two decades before retiring. Pete is survived by his wife, Julie, his sons Peter Girardin (Leanne) and Dennis Girardin (Mary), and daughters Victoria Allen (Ben) and Rebecca Simmons (JP), cherished grandchildren: Melanie, Melissa, Lacey, Geoff, Hanna, Vivian, Beckham, Jackson, Alexandria, and Berkeley, and sister Irene. Pete's kind heart extended beyond his family to his faithful companions, Buster the dog and Inis the cat, who will surely miss his loving presence. Pete will be remembered as a hardworking, reliable, and loving man whose life was a beacon of warmth and dedication. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 14th at 2:00pm at Shannon Hills Bible Chapel which is located at 900 W Vandalia Rd Greensboro, NC 27406.
