Harold Ray Smith

Harold Ray "Radar" Smith, 61, of Climax, NC went home to Jesus April 13, 2023. He was born March 10, 1962 to James William and Edith Clara Smith in Guilford County.

He was a gifted musician, that loved life, to laugh, animals, and to fish. Harold was known to many as a "jack of all trades."

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Mary K. Garner; and brother, Tommy H. Kirkman.

Those surviving include his children, Clara E. "Beth" Smith, Amy S. Peeden, and Harold "Ray" Smith, Jr.; twin brother, Darrell Jay Smith; brothers, James "Jimmy" W. Smith, Jr. Jerry W. Kirkman, and Robert L. Kirkman; sisters, Janet K. Goodman and Martha S. Martin; grandchildren, Jessica M. Petty, Chastity E. Petty, Jacob L. Petty, Christopher L. Moody, Jr., and Wyland Locklear; great grandchild, Johnathan Wayne Coulder; special companion of 25 years, Diane Cecil; and many nieces and nephews that loved him.

He will be dearly missed. To know him was to love him.
