He is survived by children, Nevaeh Tatum and Kyle Goins; Caregiver/Niece, Jamie Campbell; birth mother, Hatty Harper; stepdad, Herman Harper; sister, Deena Carroll (Tracy); loved by all his nieces and nephews including: Javari Stout, Jarius Wallace, Nathan Robin Jones, and favorite nephew, Norman Jones; favorite cousin, Cateia Webb; aunts, Jonelle Patton and Bernice Jenkins Matthews; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Those preceding him in death include adoptive mother, Rosie Alberta Lee Murrell Goins; adoptive father, Reed Goins; brothers & sisters, Edward Garfield Murrell (Dorothy), Joseph Wheeler Murrell (Martha), Polly Loualma Goins Perkins (Ray), Veaulah Elizabeth Goins Edwards (Don), Anna Lorreen Goins, Ronald Junior Goins (Linda), and Doris Anne Goins Jones (Robert).
