Kenneth Nolon Hinshaw

Kenneth Nolon Hinshaw, 72 of Greensboro, passed into Eternal Glory on the night of January 12, 2026 surrounded by his family.

He was born January 3, 1954 in Greensboro to the late John Nolon Hinshaw and Laverne Smith Hinshaw.

Kenneth was a kind, sweet, loving soul who never met a stranger. He was also a wonderful husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend.

He loved the Lord and attended Lake Brandt Baptist Church as long as he was physically able.

A lifelong resident of Greensboro, Kenneth attended Irving Park Elementary School, Mendenhall Junior High (where he was on the football team), and graduated in 1972 from Page High School

(where he played in the marching band). After high school he attended Montreat College.

Kenneth's hobbies included his love of cars (especially "muscle cars"-his GTO, Cuda and many Corvettes). His most treasured possession was a Ford Model A Roadster Pickup that had belonged to his grandfather. He also enjoyed playing the drums and coin collecting.

Throughout the years he was employed by Sears & Roebuck and various car dealerships. He retired in 2018.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Teresa W. Hinshaw of the home; son, Jason Nolon Hinshaw of the home; daughter, Emily Hinshaw Diamantini (Dave); grandchildren, Nicholas Steven Carapella and William Nolon Carapella; Stepgrandchildren, Dominic Diamantini and Chase Diamantini all of O'Fallon, Missouri; sister, Betsi H. Sossaman (Ed) and niece, Kristen Sossaman all of Port St. Lucie, Florida; and brother-in-law, Michael Wyrick of Greensboro.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lake Brandt Baptist Church Building Fund, The American Cancer Society or AuthoraCare Collective.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28th from 1:00-2:00 pm at Lake Brandt Baptist Church, 1901 Trosper Road, Greensboro. Memorial service to follow at 2:00 pm.
