Michael Romine Obituary

Michael Scott Romine, age 48, of Greensboro, North Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2026. Born on May 10, 1977, in Sacramento, California, Michael lived a life defined by hard work, devotion to his family, and a heart that always wanted to help others.

Michael was survived by his wife, whom he adored, Jessica Romine, and their four sons: Ryan Romine of Randleman, North Carolina; Zachary Romine of Greensboro, North Carolina; Nicholas Romine of Greensboro, North Carolina; and Levi Romine of Greensboro, North Carolina. He was also the proud and loving grandfather of his precious grandson, Colton Romine.

He is also survived by his mother, Karen Romine; his sister, Patty Workman; his sister-in-law, Hannah Shackford; his nephew, William Passmore; and his niece, Emma Passmore. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Romine.

Michael graduated from Valley High School and attended Sacramento Community College, where he studied architecture. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, working in cryogenics during his service. After moving to North Carolina for the love of his life, Michael devoted himself fully to providing for his family and raising his boys.

A master electrician for over 30 years, Michael worked in both commercial and residential fields. Highly intelligent and endlessly capable, he was truly a jack of all trades—skilled in electrical work, plumbing, flooring, mechanics, and more. If something needed fixing, Michael could do it.

He was a devoted football coach, the biggest fan of his sons, and an active supporter of youth sports organizations. Michael was deeply involved in the motocross world, serving as a mechanic and steadfast supporter as his family traveled the circuit together. He loved traveling, riding, working, and being productive—always wanting to work and always wanting to provide.

Michael was a great friend; a loyal brother and son; a devoted husband; a loving father; and a proud grandfather. He was strong-minded, hardheaded in the way only strong men are, and unwavering in his determination. Above all, Michael was a child of God who loved Jesus. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now with the Lord and watching over all those he loved.

A memorial service celebrating Michael’s life will be held on January 10 at 2:00 p.m. at Sheraton Park Baptist Church, with Pastor Kraig officiating. Fellowship and a meal will follow the service, and all are welcome to stay.

The family kindly asks that you keep Michael’s boys in your prayers in the days ahead.

“My child, never forget the things I have taught you. Store my commands in your heart. If you do this, you will live many years, and your life will be satisfying. Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart.”

                                                                                                                                                                      — Proverbs 3:1–3

Michael Scott Romine will forever be remembered as a hard worker, a provider, a strong human being, and a man whose love for his family never wavered.
