Rebecca Ann Payne

Rebecca Ann Payne, went home to be with the Lord on May 3, 2025 at Beacon Place of Greensboro. There will be no formal service at this time.

Rebecca “Becky” was born in Greensboro, NC on June 15, 1936 to Edgar and Ethel Payne and was a lifelong resident of Greensboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Ralph and Donald Payne.

She is survived by her beloved sons, Randy Payne of the home and David Payne (Melinda) of Reidsville; 2 grandchildren, Ashlee Rogers (Lowell) and Lee Payne (Brittany); step-grandchildren, Christopher Pierce of Greensboro, Adam Chambers (Isabella) of Live Oak, CA, and Kelsey Hopper (Tyler) of Eden, NC; 10 great grandchildren, Lawson, Ella Kate, Wyatt, Emmett, Anabel, Andy, Auley, Isla, Waylen, and Raeann.

“Becky” worked for Cone Mills (Revolution division) for 26 years. When Revolution closed she went to work at Allen-Bradley and then retired from Southern Webbing Mill. She was a dedicated hardworker who made many friends over the years. In her retirement, she loved spending time with her family, watching the Game Show Network, and doing word search puzzles.

She was loved so very much and will be missed by her children, grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.
