Thomas Kevin Ellis

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Kevin “Tom” Ellis, age 65, of Greensboro, North Carolina.  Tom passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro.

Tom was born on July 3, 1960, in Piqua, Ohio.  Tom was the son of the late Carl R. Ellis and Lila (Abernathy) Delzeith.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his sister , Gretchen Delzeith .

He was a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1978, in Bradford, Ohio.

Tom shared the last 22 years with his lifemate, Dori McCormick of Greensboro, NC. Together as a family with Riley and Maddie, they created a lifetime of love and memories that will live in their hearts forever.

Others left to cherish Tom’s memory include siblings: Gregory (Donna) Ellis of Greenville, Ohio; Joe Ellis of Dayton, Ohio; Carl (Dixie) Ellis of Covington, Ohio; Brian (Lori) Ellis of Loveland, Ohio; Maria (Gary) Rolfes of Beavercreek, Ohio; and Gwen (Michael) Flory of Southport, North Carolina; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Tom embraced life with passion, adventure, and a wonderful sense of humor which brought joy and laughter to all of those around him. He was known for being creative, for his love of music, Christmas and Halloween.

Tom will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  May his memory be eternal.

In accordance with Tom’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
